Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) & Form Fill Seal (FFS) technology is a pharmaceutical filling process in which containers are formed from a thermoplastic granulate, filled with product, and then sealed in a continuous, integrated, automatic operation. Blow Fill Seal (BFS) and Form Fill Seal (FFS) technology are used in sterile manufacturing of pharmaceutical products as parenteral infusions, ophthalmic, and inhalation products.
The Basic Concept of The BFS & FFS Machine is redused to contamination by forming the container, Filling & Sealing in a closed sterile chamber of the machine There is no personal intervention to reduce the chance of the contamination during the manufacturing of the sterile product. It gives the more production at very low operational cost with the high assurance of sterility.

Cap welding equipment is used where the BFS machine is producing a Large Volume Parenteral container with the so-called «Eurohead». The bottle is sealed when leaving the machine. In order to allow the tight connection with the giving set spike after perforation a «Eurocap» is sealed on top of the container. The cap contains a rubber disc. The spike penetrates through the disc and the sealed bottle top. There is no contact between the rubber and the solution, eliminating the risk of particles generated by the rubber. The inside of the cap is sterile after terminal sterilization.
